The Next Great Adventure 2.0! September 2016 Update

Amira and I

Hello Friends and Family,

from Redding, & Silver Lake in Lassen National Forest, CA. It seems fitting that I spent part of this month enjoying the beauty of one of our national parks as they are celebrating their 100th anniversary.  The picture above was taken at sunset as I stayed at a cabin on the 1 year anniversary with Amira at Silver Lake. She is working to help some friends to refurbish the cabin.  It was a day to unplug, rest and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. It was very refreshing to “unplug” for a day to enjoy the “simple things” in life.  There was no electricity in the cabin. So there were no distractions. Just peace and beauty to be enjoyed. It brought back so many memories of family camping trips.  There was so much joy in those memories.  Thank you to Amira and her friends for a walk down memory lane.

Going to the cabin also reminded me of “the road less traveled”. Not everyone in life will choose IMG_3047to take an easy road to travel.  When driving to the cabin and driving home the roads were not always comfortable to drive on. There were many bumps, rocks and at times holes in the road. You had to remain aware and alert. Yet the journey was totally worth every bump and discomfort to get there. The journey I have been on this last year has been just that. It has been filled with bumps and discomforts and ate times obstacles that I have had to overcome. To go on a journey like this it takes some form of fuel to get there. I have to say the fuel for me has been the community of support I have received from all who have prayed, supported or called and encouraged me along this way.  We have learned the importance of having community to support us.  I value each and everyone of you along this journey. I cannot see just yet where this journey is taking me. I just know that God has been faithful on every step of the way.

searsThere are many new paths along a journey, many roads that can lead you to a destination. Today is a day where I am taking new roads to the next part of this journey. Today is a new beginning Yesterday was my last day at Sears. I have learned so much working in this community. It is my hope that I have served this company well and that I made many friends along this journey. I also hope that along the way I reflected the love of God in a positive way. My next step for employment is to work at Orchard Supply and orchard_supply_hardwareHardware.  I know it does not seem like much of a change from Sears, but I have felt the assurance of the Lord that this is a move He would have me to make. I am looking forward to my first day and beginning this new journey. Today also marks a new move for me in housing. I am moving to a new home for the fall.   I am excited about my new housemate. She is closer to my age and she will be attending first year while I attend second year. Her name is Haidee. I am looking forward to this new adventure also.

A1CnbIYCaeLSchool is one week away! I am so excited for it to begin. I have spent part of my summer doing a “little light reading.”  Yes I have an “new man in my life” unfortunately unlike Jesus he is not alive. I have been reading the sermons of John G Lake. It has become a joke with my friends here because I have gone on many “dates” with John this summer. It is a 548 page book and is much to digest. I have enjoyed getting to know this man of great faith. He had such great faith in God and what God could do through us. He read God’s words in the Bible and DARE to BELIEVE what it said he could do.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. John 14:12 NASB

John G Lake took the road less traveled. He gave up a good paying job to work to make a difference in this world. He was one man and thousands of lives were changed and made better because of his life. I don’t know what God has in store for me. I just know I want to read the words of the Bible and BELIEVE we can do what it says we can do we can! That we can make a difference. This road is not for everyone, but I KNOw this road is for me. I want my life to make a difference in all the lives I come in touch with.  I desire for people to come to know the peace and love i have come to know, for them to know that faith does not come without RISK and that the journey does not come with a road that is always paved and smooth.

There are many encounters we have in our journey and some of those make our journey smoother, they give us fuel to keep going on this journey. I am thankful for the FUEL of prayers and support I have received from friends and family.  I am so close to the halfway point of my tuition I am in need of $265 to reach the halfway point by the 6th of Sept.   I would love to see the balance of my bill $2315 to be paid off before the deadline of the early payoff date.  Which is August 29th 2016 at 11:59. That is tonight. If my bill is paid off by then I get a discount of $225.00.  Honestly every little bit helps in this season.

46 people to give $50

115 people to give $20

232 people to give $10

If one man can impact thousands of people’s lives just think of the lives you can touch. You have options also because if you would like something in return for your investments it only IMG_51641cost $30 for one of my Love painting prints. About $15 of that painting goes to my school. The rest is cost of printing and shipping. They are fine art prints of exceptional quality. It will brighten your home and also you know you are supporting a good cause. I would need to sell about 200 paintings to pay for my school.  If you are interested in a painting then please click this link below.

I have them available in small medium and large sizes. The measurements of the actual print are not exactly the size of the frame you would need for it. If you buy the larger painting it will cost more. You can see the pricing on my website. As I get more paintings completed and scanned I will make them available.

Please know that any way you partner with me in this journey please know your impact is reaching beyond just me you are reaching the globe. I have opportunities daily to invest in others from around the world. Please know my thoughts and prayers go out to each of you often. Know that I am stalking most of you on Facebook and I am praying for the Lord to bring blessings and the richness of His love into your lives. I am grateful for each of you who have invested in me.

Any amount paid to this link from this point will be applied to my tuition. This tuition includes all the books I read for school and $700 of that goes to pay for travel on ministry trips. We are not allowed to travel until our tuition is paid in full.  As you can tell I love adventure and I would love to take you with me… to do that, I need your partnership in prayers and support as the Lord leads.

Also I invite you to join me in prayers for the following
